I’m a freelance science journalist based in Sydney, Australia. While I have a degree in biology, I have written about everything from particle physics to palaeontology. I have published articles in Scientific American, New Scientist, Smithsonian, Nature, Australian Geographic, ScienceAlert, Popular Science, among other outlets. I have also produced data-driven stories on trends and challenges in the scientific enterprise for Nature Index, a supplement to the journal Nature. My work is currently featured in The Best Australian Science Writing 2020 anthology. I tweet at @gvconroy.
